Kenyans along the Mau Mau road have continued to lament that the heavy rains have made the roads impassable.
The road, which crisscrossing and connecting the five mountainous counties of Mt Kenya region has been on a go slow as government realigns it's budget to complete all the pending roads whose
construction had already begun.
President William Ruto has given a directive to the ministry of transport not to initiate any new road projects are completed.
As of May this year, roads under construction across the country had a total pending bill of Kshs 900 billion, the president touring China recently seeking funds to unlock the standoff and have the contractors back on site.
Farmers have asked the government to expedite the process so that this important road project is completed, many saying that due to the poor condition, it has become near impossible to take their crop produce to the market.
