A section of leaders have criticized Murkomen for what they called unfair distribution of development.
Speaking on Monday during a tree planting exercise, led by governor Kiarie Badilisha, Senator Methu and Women Rep Faith Gitau, the leaders accused Murkomen of diverting funds from road projects in Nyandarua.
They urged the National Treasury
CS Prof Njuguna Ndung'u to see to it that the ill treatment of Nyandarua residents is corrected.
Governor Badilisha said that the time was up for Nyandarua leaders to continue treating the government well as the government mistreats them, Senator Methu echoing the same sentiments.
There remarks come a few days after a meeting between Murkomen and Nyandarua elected leaders where reportedly Murkomen told them that he did not have funds for roads in Nyandarua.
Hon Faith Gitau claimed that Murkomen's explanation was shallow as road projects are well underway across the country.
In his response, Prof Ndung'u who was the designated guest of Honor for the tree planting in Nyandarua defended his Transport counterpart saying that the stalling of road projects was due to lack of funds.
He went on to state that the Kenya Kwanza government found over Kshs 900 billion worth of unpaid and unbudgeted for projects but reassured them that the construction will resume once the government gets adequate funds.
