Government to resume construction of data recovery’s center.
Molo MP hon Kuria Kimani has said that the government intends to complete the construction of the national data recovery center in Naivasha.
Speaking to the press after leading the Finance committee of the National Assembly which he chairs, kuria said that the digitalization of government services had made it even
more crucial to complete the center.
The finance committee heard that the center had stalled leading to the contractor filing a suit against the government that saw the court award the disgruntled contractor kshs 5 billion in damages.
Kuria went on to say that as a committee they would arbitrate and see to it that the construction cost to completion remains at the initial kshs 3.2 billion noting the contractor had already done a Kshs 800 million portion of the contract.
Once completed, the center will offer the government some strategic data security.
