Police to get a 40% salary increment.
President William Ruto on Thursday committed to implement the recommendations of the Maraga Taskforce.
The report recommended a 40% salary increment for the officers which the president promised to honor over the next three years.
The president said that the salary and remuneration commission would get the technical bit done to see
to it that the increment is done.
This, the president added, will help improve the condition of officers and enhance integrity in service.
The president further concurred with the report on the recommendation to have officers not stay in the same county for more than three years.
Other key recommendations include equipment modernization and police housing to help in improving their service delivery.
