Pax-Africana Youths Initiative has demonstrated it’s patriotism and unwavering commitment by organizing and mobilizing locals in rural parts of Siaya to turn up in significant numbers to commemorate Friday’s holiday by planting trees, serving as a tribute to the memory of fellow Kenyans who have lost their lives to the
ongoing floods in the country.
“The only thing you can do for your country is leaving it better than you found it and this can only be achieved by preserving the environment by planting trees in collaboration with other measures to mitigate climate change,” said it‘s founder, Mr. Fredrick Omondi.
He urged all who showed up for the exercise to take it as their responsibility and make a culture of planting trees without waiting for The President’s directive.
Mr Fredrick Omondi, during his visit to Washington DC and Pennsylvania among other States, he met and networked with other professionals who are making significant changes not just in the United States but across the African continent. He was honored by the US Department of State and selected to be a Mandela Washington Fellow.
Since then and before, the Pax-Africana Founder has used and transferred the knowledge and skills to his peers with whom together they are striving to make a difference in the community and to the Country at large.
Currently, himself and the team are working with other like-minded people to assist those affected by Floods in Parts of Nairobi slums (Mathare and Kibera) and Rural parts of Siaya (Around River Yala and Nzoia).
