on re-election at the expense of transformation of the country.
Without naming names, President Ruto said that the main reason others had not succeeded in transforming Kenya is because of making populist decisions with far-reaching adverse implications to the country.
The president went ahead to commit to stabilizing the economy, assuring Kenyans that shortly, there would be relied as the debt distress subsides.
The president hailed his economic recovery plan for having achieved so much so far, saying that Kenya had successfully managed to get out of a near default status and all indications of lasting prosperity could be seen.
President Ruto defended the credit facilities Kenya has received in the last few weeks and some more expected soon as a clear indicator of confidence by the markets of Kenya's strong economic fundamentals.
On subsidies, the president said that he would not accept any kind of consumption subsidies as they had dented the country's books.
