In my last article, I talked about how to set achievable goals. Today I am inclined to give you some more insights on how to confront key dream killers.
1. Overcome Procrastination.
Self doubt, fear and procrastination are some of enemies of success. To overcome these you can use a simple technique
2. Power of Vision.
For any project or assignment, condition your mind to visualize the outcome of your success upon completion of the task. Take a few moments to see yourself completing the task with ease, feeling proud and satisfied, and receiving positive feedback from others.
This will help you create a positive mental image of yourself, your strong character and abilities to make the project a reality.
3. Take failures as opportunities.
Do not fear failing. Start, not with a mindset of failing, but with that of succeeding. If by any chance you do fail, pick up yourself and take it as a learning experience. Every failure is a feedback that tells you what you need to improve on or change. Do not take it personally or dwell on it. Instead, ask yourself what you can learn from it and how you can apply it in your future endeavors.
4. Learn to be Grateful.
Yes, be grateful for small things that other people may take for granted. Practice gratitude by writing three things every morning or evening or when you are stressed or overwhelmed for things you are grateful for. Be grateful foryour friends, the air you breathe, your family, your health.Always Focus on the positive side of your life and avoid negative energy.
5. Challenge Yourself.
Yes, we all have negative thoughts such as "I can't do it", "I am not good enough", or "I can't handle that". Such thoughts can limit your potential. Instead of "I can't do it" or "I am not good enough", change to "I have strength and skills to do this well". Be as realistic as you can and go for it.
