The government has committed to ensure that human rights are observed and upheld as it begins the process of repatriating and integrating refugees in the country and ultimately close down refugee camps in the country led by Daadab and Kakuma refugee camps.

The process of closing down the camps was initiated in 2021 but was promptly set aside after the government failed to provide a clear roadmaps to ensure that the process would not be marred with acts against humanity.

Their closure is seen as yet another security win for the country.
