Digitization Ultimatum for 17 State agencies including KRA, Kenya Power, KNH,
The Government has given CEOs of 17 high grossing government institutions and agencies upto 15th December to comply with the Presidential directive to avail their services online.
The CEOs were summoned this morning to explain why they were yet to comply with the digitization directive.
Currently, Kosgei revealed, the government is collecting
Kshs 291 million daily through eCitizen and is targeting to move these revenues upto Kshs 1 billion daily once all government agencies onboard the platform.
President William Ruto ordered all paybills and till numbers that were being used by different government agencies to be collapsed and instead, all agencies use a single paybill payment number, 222222.
So far, 250 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are fully onboard the e-Citizen, offering over 16,000 govt services, up from 397 in June 2022.
